Crosswords for the Blind

Crosswords are mentally nourishing and fun past time but for someone with poor sight, they are are nearly impossible. My partially sighted, grandmother, Eilis Pike, has been less and less able to do the things she loves so I tried to find a way for her to continue doing crosswords independently.

The result was an almost completely audio puzzle. By recording each clue as a separate track on a CD, thereby using a CD player, an interface she was already familiar with, and an enlarged crossword grid, Eilis was able to listen to a clue at a time and complete the game.
